Buying a home can be overwhelming.  From obtaining financing, to submitting an attractive offer, to working through the mortgage process, there are many moving pieces and parts. 

The right real estate agent can help guide you through each step of this process, offering sound advice along the way. My goal is to ensure you have the right information and resources to make the home buying process the best possible experience that enhances the excitement you'll undoubtedly feel about transitioning to your next home.  

Here is a summarized overview of the primary milestones along the path to home/property ownership and where I will add value:  

Getting Pre-Approved by a Lender 

By providing some basic information about your income, savings, and debt, I can assist you in getting pre-approved by a reputable lender. The lender will then go over your financing options, what monthly payment amount you can afford, and what you can expect for down payment requirements and closing costs.  

Choosing a Home 

Moving to a new home is often an emotional transition.  It can be very helpful to have an objective point of view on the properties you're interested in. From local community information like schools and zoning to home-specific details like condition and amenities, I can help you sort through the pros and cons of each location. 

Making an Offer 

Once you’ve found the home of your dreams, I will research recent comparable sales of similar homes in the area to help determine a fair selling price. Comparable sales combined with other factors like inspections and repairs, will help us structure your offer and negotiate to get the very best deal possible.  

Obtaining Financing

Once you have a home under contract you will need to visit your lender to complete the necessary documentation to secure your mortgage loan.  It is during this stage that you will finalize details such as your mortgage interest rate, down payment and payment schedule.

Closing 

Now, the moment you've been waiting for! You will meet with an attorney to sign all of the necessary documentation involved in the transfer of property.  I will ensure all of the details that were part of the negotiation are accounted for and that you are comfortable walking into the closing appointment.
